05:13 PM ET 06.26 | Power forward Carl Landry gave the Golden State Warriors some of his best contributions of his career last season, but now the team might not be able to afford him. Opting out of the final year of his contract on the final day to do so, Landry will become an unrestricted free agent come July. The 29-year-old hasn't put a return to Golden State out of the realm of possibility, but it could be difficult for the team to afford him. He averaged 10.8 points and six rebounds per game in 2012-13 and probably bumped his value well above the $4 million he would've earned in the final year of his deal with the Warriors. Opting out gives the hard-nosed forward the ability for longterm guaranteed money, but it could end in one of the Warriors' key contributors finding a new home.

I don't see that happening. SOMEONE will over pay him at $8-9M per which GSW cannot afford. UNLESS they amnesty RJ.
Landry is undersized, but his effort and numbers are hard to hide. Good bench player, but some dumb GM will pay him starter money for sure.
