03:41 PM ET 06.26 | Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez just watched his NFL career go down the drain. For days, Hernandez was being investigated for the murder of 27-year-old semi-pro football player Odin Lloyd, and he was finally slapped with murder charges and five other gun related charges on Wednesday afternoon. While we finally know the charges that Hernandez will face, we are all left wondering how long his prison term will be if he is found guilty. Unfortunately for Hernandez, first-degree murder in the state of Massachusetts is a life sentence.

I know it's innocent until proven guilty, but he's got 3 hots and a cot for the rest of his life. And if he is proven guilty, good riddance.

Fansided once again overstating the obvious.

This seems to be one severely messed up individual. From here on out he's just a train wreck we'll gawk at until he's sent away, and then we'll rarely think of him again. Could have had a very solid career and done good things with his life.

Boy where is the evidence? They must have something, though.

You didn't see the hearing, huh? Not saying he won't have his day (weeks) in court, but his own surveillance system had him with a gun, and an expelled shell in his car. He has his rights, and nine days of searching before they arrested him prove its not a rush to judgement, so far.

No doubt he's as innocent as OJ.

Hernandez is wondering where the heck is Art Modell when he needs him.

No death penalty in Massachusetts, unless you're dating a Kennedy.

Hernandez wishes he were in Jamarcus' shoes right now.

Just a random thought...

Jimmy Graham just became the #1 pick in a lot of fantasy drafts. No Gronk. No Hernandez.
