07:03 AM ET 06.27 | Of all the legal details that will emerge in the case against Aaron Hernandez, one may involve his fiancee. If Hernandez and his fiancee get married before trial, will she be able to refuse to testify against her husband? Under Massachusetts law, the answer is yes. "A spouse shall not be compelled to testify in the trial of an indictment, complaint, or other criminal proceeding brought against the other spouse," the law states regarding the concept of the spousal privilege. Massachusetts law also recognizes the concept of spousal disqualification, which prevents a spouse from testifying about communications occurring during the marriage -- even if the spouse wants to. And so, if Hernandez and his fiancee get married, she can refuse under Massachusetts law to testify.

Adds another meaning to "shotgun wedding". Or, I guess, this would be a "handgun wedding".

It doesn't make a difference, it will all go to lawyers!!!

I don't think they'll need her. The 2 mysterious guys are a singin!

They're singing like Milli Vanilli. Well, the people who were really singing anyway.

I just read some of the stuff from court yesterday... sounds like the text to Lloyd's sister is pretty damning.

The Night has a Thousand Eyes.

And these days, a lot of them are surveillance cameras. They've got his silver Altima at a gas station, entering the industrial park and leaving a few minutes later, bracketing the time when graveyard-shift types heard shots. They've got him on his own home security video entering the house with what looks like a gun.

And yeah, I think the mysterious "two other guys" are singing so much that the neighbors think it's an American Idol audition.

"Hey, baby, I just shot ur bro. LOL. He dead. Fo reelz. LOL. Make sho u delete this ASAP. Dont wanna go to prison. LOL."

From the article this morning... moments before he dies, Lloyd texted his sister to alert her. When she asked who he was with, he answered "NFL", and added "Just so you know".

June 27, 2013  08:16 AM ET

She has no incentive for a marriage.

She has the anchor baby, she gets the money anyway. It is hard to imagine her having a role in the trial where she would be compelled to testify against him.

OBD, that same article also said that Lloyds sister was an eyewitness to him leaving with Hernandez, so I'm confused at what the text meant.

June 27, 2013  08:17 AM ET

She's gonna marry him, divorce him, and take whatever spare change he has left in his account after all the legal fees.

Would have be easier to text "A. Hernandez". Fewer letters.

I'm guessing evidence. Phone records and such.

Right now I see a lot of circumstantial stuff. At first glance it appears the prosecutors have some work to do to tie all of this together.

Locating the weapon would seal the deal.

Pretty much meant, "Hey... Sis... Something doesn't feel right... I think these guys are going to kill me."

I see a seance where attorney Fee (you couldn't make this name up) attempts to channel Johnny Cochran.

"My client's dumb! Dumb dumb dumb!

Ain't no Aaron Hernandez able to shoot no gun while chewing gum."

One thing is for sure.... ALL of the teams that continously passed on Hernandez in the draft, did for the right reasons.

How about not being involved Period. A lot of sleepless nights await him.

Sometimes those "character issues" need to be heeded.

His cell phone calls are still on record and easily obtained through a court order. Always have been for everybody for 60+ years..They do not need her. Or even want a possibly hostile witness.

Great premise for a marriage, regardless. But if he's gonna be in jail for life, she might as well get what's left after his expensive, multiple lawyers get their hands on it.
