Pacers facing draft challenge

07:04 AM ET 06.27 | For noted draft mover and shaker Kevin Pritchard, this is the best time of year: draft week, followed by free agency. The Pacers could use a back-up point guard. ... They could use a shooter. ... The bench could use more offensive punch down low. Finding that sort of player at No. 23 remains the challenge. It's one Prichard relishes. "It's all about trying to find that diamond in the rough," he said. "When you're picking at the top, you're looking at four or five guys. When you're where we're at, it's a different set of challenges. But we love it." ... Trade rumors have swirled over the past few days that the Pacers might be inclined to swap the 23rd pick. A little more than 48 hours shy of the draft, Pritchard wouldn't discuss the rumors.

Every team has a tough challenge in this draft. Just ask Cleveland. They're having a hard time getting rid of the #1 pick...

And why would Pacers be looking for a "back up" PG when they don't really have a starting quality PG??? Hill isn't a starting PG, they are putting too much pressure on him. DJ was always a known flop.
Collison is a choice. Rumors are Hawks may not extend a contract to Teague, so he might be an option (not a great one but cheap). Andre Miller maybe since Denver is falling apart.

They need a ball handler for sure...

Turnovers will doom a slower-defensive minded team like the Pacers...not to mention, they still got beat with the Heat not playing all that well and the Bulls will get Rose back...so any return to the ECF means more hard work for them...
