04:28 PM ET 06.27 | Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Josh Brent failed a second drug test and a Dallas County judge revoked his bond and sent him to jail on Thursday, according to the Dallas County District Attorney's office. The Dallas DA filed a motion on June 25 asking a judge to revoke Brent's bond because it was revealed he failed a drug test taken on June 19. Brent was out on bail after being charged with intoxication manslaughter resulting in the death last year of best friend and teammate, Jerry Brown. Brent is still on the Cowboys 90-man roster. Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said the team would have no comment and Brent's agent, Peter Schaffer, said he's aware of everything involving the case, but wouldn't comment further.

Many months overdue.

Another job opening in the felon's league. Another killer of a friend. I'd like to see no bail until his trial, but that is probably not likely.

Note to Jerry Jones...

WHY HAVEN'T YOU CUT THIS IDIOT?????

Unbelievable.

As a Pro? He ain't one.

And have too believe he doesn't understand that? By his intentions.

Remember when the biggest image problem facing the NFL was Lance Rentzel getting busted for exposing himself to a little girl or Art Schleister's gambling problem? How weird to have to call those "the good old days".

Dumb fool won't ever learn.

I was just thinking the same thing. Dallas (the city) could save themselves some trouble by just not letting him out of jail until his trial.

No kidding. If it's good enough for Bob Kraft and the Patriots, it should be good enough for Jerry Jones.

what an idiot.

Brian Billick spoke on this problem on the DP Show this morning. If Dallas takes the high road and cuts him, Hoodie - or some other team, comes along and says "We are confident we can surround him with good role models, and no siree, we will not stand for any poor behavior out of him".

The only reason AH isn't already on another roster is because it is a sure thing he will not be able to play a single down for 2013.

Pretty soon NFL players' addresses will be tracked on a website and they will be required to reveal themselves as NFL players to the neighbors when they move in to a new neighborhood.
