04:59 PM ET 06.27 | With a new contract extension and an owner asking him to put in Peyton Manning-esque time on the job, it???s shaping up to be another season of high expectations for Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo. As always, though, the success or failure of the Cowboys isn???t going to be determined by Romo all by himself. The fact that he???s given up golf or doing more rigorous film study won???t do much to help the team win games if the offensive line can???t block or if the defense regularly gets lit up. It would be a good thing, then, if the Cowboys wind up being as strong a team as Romo thinks they???ll be. ???We???re going to be pretty good this year,??? Romo said, via the Lake Geneva News and ESPNDallas.com. ???This is one of the most complete teams that I???ve been around. It???s going to be a very enjoyable football season.???

Just about re-routed a sip of beer through my nose reading this headline. Wow, can 9-7 be far behind. Brought to you by "Romobux"!!

Sad part is that 9-7 probably won't be good enough to make the playoffs.

This team is complete. Is that another way of saying they're finished.

"The fact that he's given up golf or doing more rigorous film study won"

For the many millions they threw at him, I would give up golf and watch film in a heartbeat. Doesn't mean I have to be any better but watching film is good.

"oh well, really i don't think we will be too competitive this year for many reasons. but i'm real pleased the owner game me a boat load of money.... that helps!" guess we have to hear this stuff... they have to say something!
