Cubs to trade Matt Garza soon?

05:10 PM ET 06.28 | I'm not sure what the rush is on trading starting pitchers. Maybe the teams are worried their somewhat successful seasons will turn into pumpkins in the next few weeks, so they want to get as much as they can while the going is good. Either way, it appears the market for starting pitching will be getting thinner and thinner as the MLB trade deadline nears. A few days ago, the Miami Marlins said they wanted to trade starting pitcher Ricky Nolasco as soon as possible and the Chicago Cubs are taking a similar approach with Matt Garza, who is expected to move traded 'well before' the trade deadline.

Nah. Just wait until his very last start before the trading deadline just like last year. No one ever gets hurt then

Better trade "goat boy" soon or he'll get hurt again this year.

This guy is an injury prone average pitcher on the last year of his contract. I can't believe they will get much in return for him. Granted he's one of the best known average pitchers in the game. That doesn't change the fact that he's just average and injury prone.

They didn't get anything for Dempster or Maholm last year either. Why should that change this year?
