09:00 AM ET 06.29 | Brad Richards isn't going anywhere. The Rangers announced Friday that they would not be buying out the underperforming center, meaning he'll be with the team for the 2013-14 season. There was speculation that the Rangers would use their second and final compliance buyout to rid themselves of the final seven seasons of Richards' deal with a salary cap hit of a little more than $6.67 million per season.

He's the prefect player for AV. He's lived with the twins ... he can live with Richards.

After the sisters he probably sees Richards as an alpha male.

Looks like there'll still be a Danny in Ottawa.

BTW Roamer, the Wings signed restricted free agent defenseman Jakub Kindl to a four-year $9.6 million deal, and left-winger Drew Miller to a three-year, $4.05 million contract extension.

Good signings in my book.

I knew about Alfie. I thought they might have gone for one more. You can never have too many Dannys around.

Well if they're Leaf fans one is plenty.

Kinda figured this....as I've stated before...be careful about judging your team after a lock out and barely a half a season worth of games....especially when evaluating veteran players....I think Richards will bounce back nicely next year after a full off season prep and a full training camp.....

The D is starting to look up, with DE-whats his name and Kronwall, and a full season this year.

If the King is signed and Richards and Nash start having fun playing again look out. And Staal will be back..crosses fingers.

Maybe Nash too, who seemed like he played all season with his skates on backward.

Danny DeKeyser. Just think of da' Kaiser cars they used to make here at Willow Run.

June 29, 2013  11:39 AM ET

A funny story told by Oilers GM Craig MacTavish at a press conference: He said he came to Michigan to wine and dine DeKeyser trying and persuade him to sign with the Oilers. He knew his efforts where wasted when, on the way out of the parking lot, he saw DeKeiser driving away with Detroit Red Wings vanity plates on his car.
