Nets have short window for title run

09:14 AM ET 06.29 | There is little arguing that the Nets won the championship of buzz the past few days, that they are the heavyweight champs of social media and water coolers. So, yes: the buzz is deafening right now, and the anticipation will be splendid, and if the Nets' future draft picks almost all now reside in the possession of the Jazz and the Celtics, in Prokhorov's eat-drink-and-be-merry cocoon that seems a small price to pay for the KG-Pierce-DWill-Lopez-JJ starting five that'll be something to behold for the 50 or so games it'll stay intact next year. And that's something to look forward to. Alas, so is this: a window of opportunity that had already begun to close the exact moment it was nudged open. Don???t blink or you might miss it.

Something like 3 to 5 months if lucky.

QUOTE(#2):

With this team Jason Kidd will really be on the spot to deliver....almost as much as CP3 will be to deliver now that he has his coach of choice.

JKidd will have to manage major minutes for the real game in May.

Now Or Never, Bros.

QUOTE(#4):

If he's smart he will look at what Doc did last season. Just playing as an older player himself probably will give him some ideas on how to handle them.

The good thing is that they do have more then enough clutch players. JJ can finally play w/out too much pressure. Terry and Blatche can come off the bench. They'll probably pick up some young guys to help then out throughout the season. This is a 1-2 year plan where the players they got from the trade will be off the books. Pretty smart trade because they got rid off 2 big contracts in Hump and Wallace.

Blatche is a FA. He won't be back. Some team will offer more $ than the Nets.

I agree- especially with kg there who will take up his mintues.

I agree with your post yesterday. This team will be seriously scary in the playoffs.

KG is a huge upgrade over Evans. Reggie is a nice role player, but KG is a warrior. He will be a factor with his defense, rebounding and ability to score. Evans was a no factor on offense.

And a declinibg PP is still an upgrade over Wallace. And he can still be a clutch performer in the closing seconds of a close game.
