11:31 AM ET 06.29 | Ray Allen has decided to exercise his $3.2 million player option for the final season of his two-year deal with the Heat. There was a possibility that Allen could opt out and become a free agent before signing a more lucrative deal with the Heat, but he decided against it. Allen joined the Heat in the summer of 2012 after his Celtics were eliminated by Miami in the 2012 NBA Playoffs. Allen provided excellent three-point shooting and veteran leadership, and it was his clutch three in Game 6 of the NBA Finals that helped save Miami's season.

Glad to see him opt-in...

2013-2014 NBA Season will be very interesting in the East with the Nets trading the kitchen sink, Rose coming back and the Pacers...all chasing the Heat.

Earned one ring, the second one wasn't nearly as hard. He could easily end up with 4 or 5.
