10:08 AM ET 06.30 | Former University of Florida football star Aaron Hernandez is charged with one murder in Massachusetts and is being investigated in another shooting there. And he is being sued in South Florida by a man who claims Hernandez shot him. But authorities in Gainesville said they have no evidence that Hernandez was involved in a shooting in 2007 for which he and several other UF players were questioned. "Hernandez's name came up once in the report and he was questioned very briefly," said Gainesville police officer Ben Tobias. "Anytime we have an incident like that, we investigate and follow any lead whatsoever. We got his name as being in the area of that club, so we questioned him."

Just wondering what UM knew about this kid?? Didn't UM recruit Aaron??

Here was probably how the questioning went...

Police: "Did you do it?"
AH: "No officer"
Police: "OK next suspect."

What do you expect them to do in Gainesville for a UF player. Do you really think would arrest a UF player? They probably get paid by the Athletic Department to look the other way.

This just in: The FBI is wants to talk to Hernandez about his possible involvement in the disappearance of Jimmy Hoffa.

I'd like GR, BS&B, and other Gators fans to weigh in on this, as a related article in the Gainsville paper mentioned Meyer's attempts at straightening out A. Hernandez was looked upon as enabling conduct by the coach.

As a Buckeye fan, I shudder to think that another Aaron Hernandez could now be walking the gounds of tOSU campus. A recividist thug we do not need.

Meyer was thanking his lucky stars he had Tebow to distract Gator fans from the slew of thugs he had on the team. Tony Joiner, Jamar Hornsby, Marquis Hannah, and Ronnie Wilson to name a few...

FWIW, Florida, Connecticut, Iowa, Michigan and Notre Dame gave Aaron an offer and Florida was the only school that he visited.

Yeah he was committed to UCONN cuz his Bro went there or was a SR at the time..Then his dad passed away and he went off the driven path... And I am not talking about UF, football players are treated like royalty at most factories... But Urban did look the other way...

Good point, but Aaron never took a visit to UCONN.
