10:56 AM ET 07.01 | Dwight Howard is supposedly inclined to leave Los Angeles and Mike D'Antoni's system, and the Dallas Mavericks and Houston Rockets have been the favorites. Dwight met with the Rockets first thing after the free agency period began. The Rockets trotted out Yao Ming and Hakeem Olajuwon to help recruit the center. The Dallas Mavericks, however, will have to wait until Tuesday to meet with Dwight. Dallas and Mark Cuban are bringing Dirk Nowitzki to present their case to Dwight Howard. By waiting until Tuesday, Dwight could possibly have made up his mind already, but "there is no frontrunner."

What do former players have to say? It was a different era with different coaches and GM's.

Dwight following the dream of easy championships. He'll get there one day. He just needs 2-3 more superstars to team up with him.

QUOTE(#3):

The days of Lakers and Celtics greatness are now part of the dead past. With the new salary cap rules, there will be more parity, and teams cannot buy titles like the Celts did in the 60's, and the Lakers in the 80's.In fact, this Heat team may be the last NBA dynasty that we may see for many years. As you also mentioned, the Lakers' ownership is no longer ahead of the other teams in the league. We now have owners like Cuban and the Russian in new places like Dallas and Brooklyn, along with renewed Silicon Valley tycoons getting in the game as well. The landscape is definitely changing.

The Heat is not a dynasty, they are the last bought championship team but dynasty not til the win at least three to four within a 10 year period, to me its only 2 teams that can be called dynasties and that is Boston & Chicago, two teams that dominated when they was winning championship, Boston ridiculous consecutive championship run and the Bulls owning the 90's with six, we not gonna talk about how many they could've won if mike didn't retire for that year and if management didn't get big headed saying players don't win championship management do, then we saw what happened since
