11:56 AM ET 07.01 | Earlier on Monday morning, it was reported that the New Orleans Pelicans could be offering Tyreke Evans a big contract in an effort to steal him away from the Sacramento Kings. While that offer is likely still coming, the Kings may end up trading Evans to the Pelicans in the classic sign-and-trade scenario. The move would make a ton of sense as the Pelicans have been reportedly looking to trade Eric Gordon since as early as the trade deadline this past season. A trade with the Kings would be a win-win for all sides involved as Sacramento would be getting something in return for allowing Evans to walk, while the Pelican would be able to rid themselves of a contract and player they don't want. It's far from a done deal at this point, but the two sides did meet for a substantial amount of time on Sunday night and into Monday morning.
