11:56 AM ET 07.01 | The Minnesota Timberwolves are under new guidance with the arrival of Flip Saunders and that has many fans and analysts assuming that the team will be making competent moves this offseason. With David Kahn gone, people are so excited about the Wolves' future that the team is being linked to numerous rumors about whom they will be targeting in free agency. But ESPN1500 Wolves reporter Darren Wolfson is setting the record straight and says that while the Wolves have cap space to get a bigger than average name, they'll be focusing their efforts on signing either J.J. Redick, O.J. Mayo or Kevin Martin this offseason. J.J. Redick is a dark horse name to seriously consider as he's affordable and he's a guy that the Wolves can fit into their system. They desperately need a shooting guard to run along side Ricky Rubio and Kevin Love in their starting lineup and while O.J. Mayo is a preferred option, he's going to get a lot more offers than Redick will.

Redick and Mayo as your savior? You can't take these threads seriously anymore.

Mayo may be the better of these 3.

Tony Allen

Tony Allen would be great only on a contending team. Clippers would be good or even NY. He'll do the dirty job that nobody likes.

Well atleast they'll stop Miami from adding another shooter :-)

Mayo has no heart

That is true. Martin doesn't either, never shows up in playoffs.
JJ, while the lesser talented on them, has a much bigger heart.

Or you can simply not try and read more than is written. Where did it say that they'd be saviors? Just another piece to play alongside Rubio and Love.

exactly the wolves need a a 3 point shooter and id rather have Reddick but mayo would be a good fit too
