07:01 AM ET 07.02 | Generally, the Bengals are painted as a team willing to take chances on players, but they wouldn't risk a 2009 draft pick on either Aaron Hernandez or Rob Gronkowski. Bengals owner and general manager Mike Brown told FOX Sports on Monday that the franchise intentionally passed on selecting Hernandez in the 2010 draft after closely scouting tight ends that year. ... "That one is no secret. We just stayed away from it," Brown said about Hernandez inside his office at Bengals headquarters. "We didn't question the playing ability. But we went for [Jermaine Gresham]." ... Brown said the Bengals medically disqualified Gronkowski from their draft board "because he had a bad back' coming out of Arizona State University.

Hasn't the Bengals had more players on the police blotter than all 31 other teams combined?

Mike Brown, the broken clock. 1440 minutes in a day, he's correct for 2 of them.

Bengals don't draft murdering type they like the partying type........but on a real note the Bengals have moved away from those type of players and that image.

Not a Mike Brown fan....but I will give the guy credit he do's not let a player dictate to him what they will do example:C. Johnson and C. Palmer which after they where burn't out he traded them to another team and got some good draft picks.

Odell Thurman a few years back was the only real bad apple,a drunk who basically got a few DUI'S his first couple of years in the league and was kicked out of the NFL, the rest is just normal crap that go's around the league.

It makes them a team that started to believe too much what the press wrote about them and their system; a team whose hubris is starting to catch up to them.

Isn't hockey season over?

Yeah, but they put up a good fight and I choose to honor them.

Besides, football season hasn't started yet, and baseball isn't worth mentioning.

Maybe I'll find a syringe picture and use that while the Tour de France is on.
