07:01 AM ET 07.02 | Restricted free agent Tyreke Evans may have put the ball back in Sacramento's court. The New Orleans Pelicans made a four-year, $44 million offer to [Evans] during their meeting on Sunday night, according to a person with knowledge of the situation. The person spoke to USA TODAY Sports on the condition of anonymity because of the private nature of the talks. While the Sacramento Kings have the right to match any offer sheet that Evans eventually signs when the free agency moratorium lifts on July 10, it remains to be seen if they would match such a lucrative deal. Evans has serious interest in signing with the Pelicans, and will likely agree to sign the deal if the Kings tell him later today in their meeting in Los Angeles that they will not match.

Evans can ball,, his numbers have dropped but his FG% was still good. Put him with the right team and his numbers will go back up

QUOTE(#4):

Supposedly sac will match

Sac needs him and for that price it will be okay. He will be making half of what Gordon is making.

Oh yeah that is part of their problem. They have too many similar players but that was/is a management issue. However you do realize the Knicks just invested 30+ Mil in the PF position with diet Dirk-lite.

Not really half Gordon is getting like 14 mil per Tyreke will probably be getting 12 mil which is a little up there and what Monta was making. In the end the Pelican's need at SF just drove up the asking price of Evans.

I thought Gordon was getting paid Westbrook type of money? Somewhere in the $70-80 million range...

If they land him it will be a solid backcourt and with the young center they have something to be excited about... Well compared to what they have had.
