07:04 AM ET 07.02 | With Chris Paul having agreed to a five-year extension, the Clippers' options for trading Eric Bledsoe appear to be expanding. Sources told ESPN.com that the Clippers have this week exchanged sign-and-trade scenarios with both the Milwaukee Bucks and Dallas Mavericks in potential deals that would bring either J.J. Redick or fellow free agent O.J. Mayo to L.A. Although sources say that strong signals continue to emanate from new Clippers coach and senior vice president of basketball operations Doc Rivers that he wants to try to keep Bledsoe for another season, sources say that conversations with Milwaukee and Dallas are "live," which follow the Clippers' recent talks with both Orlando and Toronto about a Bledsoe deal.

Let's be real the Clippers are the better team currently. I think they should go after Mayo as he can create off the dribble.

They need though a big that can be a big. They have Paul and Crawford already. Why waste your limited $ in an area you already have?

They need Mayo to start. He'll do well w/ the Clippers because he'll have other players help him out.

And I hope we get Bledsoe for Mayo

They need Blake and Jordan to improve their game but they also need a SG to start and Crawford to come off the bench for production. Willie Green is ok but he will not be the starter. Crawford is more of an isolation player only. They are looking for offense to spread the floor and shoot the three over defense. They also must be thinking Bledsoe could be gone and Crawford may need to run some time at point.

Sign & trade? He is under contract next season for 2.6 million, according to hoops hype.

I really disagree....The clips need defense. They'd be better off with a guy like tony Allen ....Cp is a steals guy... but not a big time defender And Crawford is the worst defensive player in the leagueMayo doesn't really defend eitherAnd at the end of the game, is mayo playing? If not....why pay big bucks for him?

They need a SG to spread the floor. Allen is fine like I've said in the other page but the Clippers lack offense at the starting 5. We already know that Jordan and BG don't provide offense at the low post. The offense will be tougher to get if you have Allen. Teams can sag in to help out on CP3 or BG if Allen is on the floor.

Mayo opted out.

I heard OKC is trying to get rid of Perkins. Clips need to see if they swing Jordan Crawford for him... I think that trade will help both teams. As for Bledsoe they need to get a very high draft pick for him. Their team is already well-balanced so there's no need to overstock.

I mean what team starts 5 offensively gifted players?at some point you have to stop the other team-I understand they want a guy to shoot- but mayo is NOT a good shooter. If they want a shooter- go reddick, go kevin martin....they didni't lose cause of backcourt scoring- they lost cause they had no toughness up front(imo)

Yeah but you don't add Allen on a team with Jordan and Blake. That is three non-shooting players that will be on the court. They are not Memphis where the overall defense is good enough to have 3 guys on the court who struggle to make any baskets outside of the paint and still get away with winning. Mayo is a good enough shooter that can score on jump shots and penetration. He also shot 40% from three with Dallas last year. Also the Cliippers drafted a rookie at SG not ready for primetime yet who can shoot the three and play some defense in Bullock. To me I think they are trying to spread the ball and use Picks and rolls like San Antonio does

Go Clippers!

Lob city is the place to be in LA.........Wait, what?

Yeah the Clippers are sure looking better than the Lakers, at this point, but let's not get ahead of ourselves. Until the Clippers can at least get to the NBA finals, then it really doesn't matter all that much, who is the best team in Los Angeles.
