07:13 AM ET 07.03 | So, where would Rajon Rondo go if the Celtics truly wanted to dismantle the roster of recent seasons? Danny Ainge has said publicly that the Celtics aren't rebuilding, and that he's not trading [Rondo]. Be that as it may, the Pistons have let it be known how to reach them if Ainge changes his mind. ... [The Pistons] were among the first teams to reach out to the Celtics and express interest in acquiring Rondo, the All-Star point guard who is coming off an ACL injury, league sources told CBSSports.com. Having already made lucrative pitches to free agents Josh Smith and Andre Iguodala, Pistons president Joe Dumars also has registered interest in Raptors forward Rudy Gay, one source said.

Raptors need to get rid of Rudy Gay. Dude is SOFT. Raptors have long been the softest team in the league. They need to continue developing Big V and make this team tougher all around. Rumour has Ujiri shopping Gay and DeRozan. Good start to ridding the team of endless line of soft perimeter players.

I'm all for getting rid of Rudy Gay, but also feel the Raps should keep Derozan and let him and Terrence Ross develop together. Derozan has gotten better every season and is still very young and actually plays D which most young wing players don't. Big V, Derozan and Ross should be the future going forward. With Bargnani finally out of town and the Raps possibly pawning off Gay and his huge salary they are sitting pretty. They just need to find a way of getting Kleiza off the books and maybe even (as much as I hate to say this) Amir Johnson's contract and they are sitting pretty.

They have Drummond, Knight or 1st round draft picks.

July 3, 2013  09:57 AM ET

Rumor is they offered the expiring contracts of Stuckey and Charle V for Rudy Gay.

July 3, 2013  10:09 AM ET

Ga y and Smith play the same positions.
They want Rondo, but they just picked a PG in the draft.

Joe has NO game plan or strategy. He's just playing in the fantasy league, just like all of us.

Toronto apparently wants to blow it up and rebuild. The Pistons have two expiring contracts (summer 2014) that total $17.1 million, Stuckey and Charlie V.

They aren't trading Drummond, he's a guy they are going to build around. They would definitely ship out Knight and possibly Monroe (for the right return). They can't trade their 2014 1st round pick, because they may not be able to keep it (stipulation from an earlier trade).

The surprise to me this off season is the blowup of the Celtics.

Why? Red held on to the Big 3 and that along with Len Bias' death made the C's rebuild back to contenders alot longer. If they had brough back Pierce and KG they still weren't going to beat Miami or even Chicago or Indy. Since they were primarily an older core it made alot of sense to blow it up. Ainge said as much back in January.

Rudy can shoot. The only thing he cant hit what he is shooting. Not sure why anyone would want an overpaid poor shooter.

No way they trade Monroe, they are building around both Drummond and Monroe. Knight will definitely be moved though.
