07:26 AM ET 07.03 | Congratulations are in order for the Spartans in a ranking of programs with the most NBA talent on 2013-14 rosters. ESPN's Jeff Goodman, formerly of CBS Sports, says the Wildcats are the clear No. 1, with the Spartans second, Kansas third and Michigan fifth. "Both Adreian Payne and Gary Harris returned to school, and could be lottery picks in 2014," Goodman writes. "The Spartans also have point guard Keith Appling, along with strong, athletic wing Branden Dawson and skilled forward Denzel Valentine -- who will all make money playing the game after they finish college." As for the Wolverines, led by sophomores Mitch McGary and Glenn Robinson III, Goodman writes: "McGary is a rare breed -- a physical big man who plays hard on just about every possession.

Colonel, DS, the thread is yours.

McGary is a strange bird, big guy, plays at both ends of the court, has good hands and can dribble the ball - don't see that too often.

Pity, isn't it? There was a time when normal expectations were for all players to have his hussle, even if their talents didn't match his.

3 years in the NBA will change this.

The Colonel and I already have an avi bet on the Nov. game in Chicago. His team may have more NBA talent according to this expert, but it is young and inexperienced. Tha SPARTANS are older and wiser in the ways of the b'ball world. Remember, old age and treachery will beat youth and skill every time.

I haven't picked out his new avi, bit it will be Green and White. Frog Fan can probably give him an idea as to what is in store for him.

He was playing behind the senior Morgan, once he got injured he was given more minutes, made the most of them and showed what he was made of..............

Michigan has some very good talent coming back but the heart and soul of the team has left (Burke and Hardaway). Hopefully some of the returning guys will pick up the leadership where they left off.

Right now it appears Michigan will again be dependent on the development of a freshman Point Guard.

It won't even be close. Those "old" spartans will sure be "blue" after the game.

That's the spirit!
