01:51 PM ET 07.03 | According to reports, the Oakland Raiders are paying former No. 1 overall draft pick, JaMarcus Russell, close to $3 million to settle his rookie contract. There is apparently a dispute between the two sides. When Russell was drafted in 2007, the Raiders agreed to a six-year, $68 million contract. He was only paid $36.4 million of that contract; he was still due to receive $3 million more when the team decided to part ways in 2010. Both parties filed grievances, claiming the other side owed them around $9 million.

This should put any more talk about Russell's "comeback" to rest. At least until he burns through this wad of cash.

That will buy a lot of purple drank.

Repeat thread, but a good one. Heck, where else can you have the #1 draft bust of all time remind 31 teams that the Raiders suck at evaluating talent worse than anyone since 1985?

I just like the sound of purple drank.

Run this every day.

I wish I had an important enough job to have a contract.

I'm going to try and get in touch with JaPigSty.

Here's my pitch. We shoot a documentary where we go across the country and bankrupt AYCE Buffets. We go in with a few hidden cameras and shoot the look of fear on the proprietors as JaDumpster works up a meat sweat.

I think I'd watch the hell out of a show like "Run Ricky Run", but with Russell.

It's also a good reminder that Russell played his part in the creation of a rookie wage scale. So he's done more to help the league than Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Big Ben combined.

That credit goes to Al Davis's senility not JR.

It's ironic,

That Oakland is still owing 2 QBs that are already gone.

1] Too the Cards. C. Palmer.

2] J Russel/unemploted.
