Buchholz 'finally turned a corner'

07:25 AM ET 07.04 | Perhaps Clay Buchholz can get away with a single rehab start, after all. That's a scenario the Red Sox right-hander suggested was possible Wednesday, on a day he said he felt like he had "finally turned a corner" in his recovery from right-shoulder bursitis. He threw from about 100 feet on flat ground, and would need to get to 120 feet before stepping on a mound. "I feel like I'm finally getting close to feeling pretty much normal now." ... Sox manager John Farrell has said that Buchholz would need at least two rehab starts in the minors because he hasn't thrown in a game for an extended amount of time, since June 8. Needing two rehab starts would guarantee Buchholz wouldn't pitch again in the first half -- but Buchholz wasn't conceding that point yet.

He certainly is no Bergeron.................and I would say he's more of a "Sally" than a "Patrice".......

He definitely isn't an ironman type.

Morning Rex.

QUOTE(#5):

Farrell wants this guy healthy for the playoff push in Sept. No need to rush him back if his shoulder or neck is fubar.

They seem to be doing okay without him...for now.
