07:40 AM ET 07.04 | While some have forward Nathan Horton ticketed for a team in Florida, he's started making the rounds. [Horton], one of the top NHL free agents available this summer, was in Columbus [Wednesday] to visit with the Blue Jackets and tour Nationwide Arena, The Dispatch has learned. The Blue Jackets were among the first NHL clubs to take advantage of a two-day window in which players can visit and negotiate with clubs. The two sides can agree to terms, but no contracts can be signed until Friday. Horton's agent, Paul Krepelka, confirmed that Horton was in Columbus [Wednesday] and will leave [Thursday] morning. He did not want to comment further. The Blue Jackets apparently wanted first dibs at Horton.

He'll go where he won't have to work his tail off to make a buck for the next 15 years. You know .... like Rickety DiPietro.

So he's going on IR?

Not kidding when he said he would investigate "non-traditional-hockey markets".

After the Islanders, Canucks or Flyers signed him to a long term deal.

If he really means it, he needs to speak with Jim Nill.

After all - our golf courses are far superior to those in Columbus (although I will grant Florida the nod on this rating system).

They do have Muirfield Village though.

It would be, but I think he's just setting his market number for future negotiations.

probably. still, it's a deal I'd like to see happen. I like what the new GM in Columbus has done so far and I really hope it works out under him. They've always been a miserable franchise and it'd be nice to see if they can become a truly viable NHL market.

Yup.He's going to end up passing on a shot at another cup to play for the highest bidder south of the Mason-Dixon line so wifey doesn't have to wear a winter coat.

Did he and Ribiero marry twin sisters?

I wouldn't want to be first in that contest, every GM will just outbid them.

No, the same girl, they just haven't found out yet. In real life she's a juggler.
