07:32 AM ET 07.05 | For months, there were whispers about polarizing Tyler Seguin, who on Thursday was shipped to Dallas. Those sources clearly were onto something, because the Bruins yesterday made the decision to part ways with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2010 draft, who they feel is headed for trouble with his nightlife pursuits. ... Multiple sources said the 21-year-old Seguin crossed the line this season with reckless partying. It apparently got so bad that during the playoffs, the Bruins ordered Seguin to live in a hotel, where a guard was hired to make sure he stayed in his room. But [Peter Chiarelli] repeatedly defended Seguin, calling him "a good kid and a terrific player" and "a tremendous package of speed and skill."

And so it begins... Run him out of town with character assassination.

Welcome to Dallas, young man.

I wonder what Chiarelli would have thought of Derek Sanderson?

Wow a 21 year old male making over $5 mil per is acting immaturely.

And in other news, the sun rose in the East this morning.

I think he's going to be a good addition for you Otis...kid can flat out play...just seems streaky. If they get him some direction and consistency he's gonna be a good one

Right on Otis, be more like Patrick Kane huh? Get up early and attend mass every morning. Feed the homeless at lunch. Help underprivileged kids with their homework and pick up trash on the side of the road while driving to and from practice. Wonder how many free tix Boston Herald gets for their nauseating stuff?

I think he'll do well there. He has tremendous upside, especially at the center position. I hated to see him go and I'm not buying into the character assassination BS as he heads out of town.

Agree....this is all horse crap.....the Boston Herald will spin anything to make make this trade look justified....I guess Seguin is just a bad guy he must have been hanging with Aaron Hernandez...what a joke ...just be honest and truthful and say you didn't wanna pay this kid for the next ten years and move on.....

I remember Derek Sanderson said (or words to this effect), before people said I was crazy. Now that I'm a millionaire, I'm eccentric.

Only time will tell if this article is legitimate or (nonsense).

Can we now say that there is a little tarnish on Chiarelli's halo?

Time's up BF....it's nonsense. This trade will end up in the Mike Milbury GM HOF.

Who does this kid think he is? Patrick Kane?

Reading the first post and then this one, you'd swear Chiarelli and Carlyle are at least first cousins.

I hope this turns into a Mike Richards story and Seguin wins the Cup next season with Dallas.
