07:22 AM ET 07.07 | Marlins officials were told that like FIU and Sun Life Stadium, Marlins Park also will be considered by David Beckham if he picks Miami for an MLS expansion team. Beckham has visited FIU and Sun Life but not Marlins Park and his people have not given the local contenders an update on this thinking.

How long before there would be a scheduling conflict? See Baltimore Orioles and Ravens. They both play in different stadiums but both use same parking lot. The Orioles have a home series starting on the same Thursday night that the Ravens as Super bowl winner was suppose to open the season at home on Thursday night NFL network. City of Miami and taxpayers trying to get more return on investment by getting another tenant in Marlin park. Can't blame them.

So? Bragging about landing an MLS team (in Miami of all places... horrible sports town) is the equivalent of winning a ten dollar scratch off ticket and saying you won the lotto.

And honestly, Marlins Park could land on the moon and no one would notice.
