08:29 AM ET 07.07 | ESPN's Marc Stein tweeted the Mavericks -- losers in the Dwight Howard chase -- are pursuing center Andrew Bynum. "Mavs' post-Dwight interest in Bynum is legit. They ARE pursuing him. Yet it's been made clear they'll make detailed/careful evaluation first"

They are talking to J. O'neal too.

And signed D. Harris.

Oh well - the Stars are gonna be better next season.

Are the Dallas Mavericks becoming the Biggest Loser? Some of their actions don;t make a whole lot of sense...

I know every team goes through crap seasons e.g. 2013-14 Lakers. But your Mavs are looking more like a Comedy of Errors right now.

Do they seriously think that making a "detailed/careful evaluation first" means anything with Andrew? He's and his handlers are going to say and do all the right things to get to the signature page. Then if his Bynum ways didn't really change, you're in for a head shaking experience.

Kid's going to make some money and hurt you in next season's FA market.

I am going to be SO pissed if Cuban signs this heartless piece of crap, Eli... The image of him punking Barea and the look on Jackson's face from two years ago is still etched in my mind.

He is an entitled punk. If Phil couldn't coach him up, no one can.

I want no part of this fool on my team.

You're in for a shocker my friend. Cuban is busted, and he has NO strategy or game plan. ALL TALK!!!

Nowitski got screwed big time, so have the fans been taking for a ride. Jeez the Sacramento Queens might end up with a better team LOL.

Goodness, Cuban is doing everything he can to save a little face and redeem his previously stupid decisions.

Which is why.... I continue to ask this question (as I have been for years now)...

What the hell has Donnie Nelson been doing the last 15 years since drafting Dirk?

Man did poor Dirk get screwed. I'm glad for him that he was able to win a ring but waiting and trusting in Cuban to make every good hurt him. Then again he could have either moved on or threatened to leave if things weren't improved. He was faithful to a fault.

If he didn't already have a title I would say Dallas should trade him to a contender. But I also think playing for just one team is honorable as well. Which is why I think Pierce should have retired Green...

Sadly, one big catch is the only fish needed to secure your place in power position. Jimmy drafted Bynum and though he was a problem he was still considered Second best at his position. That was all the claim to fame Dr. Buss needed to see Jimboy through favorable glasses and duped the other kids.

I'm glad Dr. Buss never got to see his son wearing the big shoes and red nose...

Yup... If you're gonna put your arce out there and look like a fool, then you're gonna be stuck with the result.

Meanwhile, R. C. Buford just keeps finding guys in S.A. while our respective G.M.'s seem to be clueless.
