07:13 AM ET 07.08 | By Sunday, Nationals manager Davey Johnson had already labeled discussion of the club trading for a starter in the wake of Ross Detwiler's setback "premature." But the Nationals, it seems, have already started casting a net for possible trades in the lead-up to the July 31 deadline. The Nationals have kicked the tires on Cubs right-hander Matt Garza, one person familiar with the situation said. Talks between the teams have not progressed to the point of the Nationals offering the Cubs a formal proposal. The Nationals have have shown interest in Garza in the past. Before the Rays traded him to the Cubs before the 2011 season, the Nationals expressed interest in dealing for the right-hander, a person familiar with the situation said.

Now that I have looked at the schedules - they won't need to set Harvey. They will simply pitch him on Sat on the normal days rest...... and move back whoever is would have been in front of him..... damn interns.

QUOTE(#10):

Great July 4th holiday.A young idiot (27-28) out here made a sparkler bomb, which promptly blew off part of his arm and leg. Then fireworks torched a bunch of docked boats.

Sounds like a candidate for this year's Darwin Awards....
