07:08 AM ET 07.09 | The offer reportedly on the table would make left tackle Ryan Clady a very, very rich man -- and Peyton Manning a bit safer. Contract negotiations between the Denver Broncos and [Clady] resumed Monday with the team sweetening its offer. An NFL source said the Broncos improved their five-year, $50 million proposal from a year ago. The proposal would make Clady either the NFL's second-highest paid offensive lineman to Cleveland Browns left tackle Joe Thomas or third-highest depending on how one views Jason Peters' contract with the Philadelphia Eagles. The players union says Peters' extension is worth $12.5 million a year. But because that was tacked on to two years of an existing contract, management considers his deal worth about $10 million a year.

It doesn't talk about the guaranteed money. All the other numbers are just smoke and mirrors.

.......and after three years they will scrap this contract and do another one.

I think they should pay the QB's more and let them hire and fire their own line.

So Rex Ryan is running with the bulls in Spain this week. There's a glimmer of hope for the Jets fans after all.

Word is he ran twice with them and wasn't gored either time. There's always next year.

Broncos better win soon, because contracts like this just mean the purge is coming one year earlier

Disgustingly true. The apple got thrown from the tree and rolled back.

Peyton is probably kicking in some dough to keep him happy

The Broncos are burying themselves in a situation where a handful of players devour half their cap. Manning, Chump Bailey and Clady are going to be $44 million - for three players.

There is a reason DJ Williams and Dumervil are gone - other than a missed FAX.

Pretty soon Von Miller is gonna get paid. The Donkeys are all in on the next two seasons.

Get this done please.

In even crazier news, Bronco's Dir of Player Personnel hits a parked car, then shortly later hits another parked car, an occupied police car. Dude was drunk like a teenager as he celebrated his 40th birthday in the resort mountain town of Breckenridge.

Mugshot of the year and DOPP of the past. Goner.
