11:42 AM ET 07.09 | Bradley Beal had an up-and-down rookie season with the Washington Wizards. The No. 3 overall pick of the 2012 NBA draft was limited to 56 games in his first season, and was ultimately shut down for the rest of the 2012-13 campaign with a stress fracture in his right leg. He has now been cleared to run, but is still sidelined and it's uncertain whether he will be able to participate in team USA activities over the next couple of weeks. Beal will obviously not play in the Summer League, and the best thing would probably be to shut it down in the offseason and get his body stronger for next year. Despite being hit with the injury bug for most of the year, Beal looked great for a first-year player and displayed some terrific synergy with John Wall when the two players were on the court together.
