Prosecutors haven't named Aaron Hernandez shooter

11:44 AM ET 07.09 | Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is still sitting behind bars, while the prosecutors continue to build a case against him. Hernandez is facing a first-degree murder charge for the killing of Odin Lloyd, but we all need to be careful before calling him the shooter. Not only is Hernandez innocent until proven guilty, but the prosecutors themselves are not calling Hernandez the shooter -- yet.

All this to say, no change, nothing new. Thank you.

Looking at the blog on the main page, they have enough to keep him gone a very long time, with or without a gun, and not needing to prove which one fired the shots. That was an interesting, if not sickening, read.

stories say he admitted shooting Lloyd to one of his co-defendants....

I thought both co-defendants were with him when the murder was carried out?

At least one is singing like a canary. Appropriate when in a cage.

They should let him out on bail and hope he does the right thing and save the taxpayers the money.

They'll throw him under the bus like "Whitey" has his friends doing to him.

I suppose there is no honor among thugs.

I bet Goodell is trying to find a way to get the charges upped to federal so they can get the death penalty. He'd like to build his dossier for the rookie symposium.

I wonder if the alleged murder weapon is in that plastic bag AH is holding in the picture? Or maybe something measured on the scale they found in his safe?

July 10, 2013  12:43 AM ET

bye-bye AH.I hope you enjoy your showers in prison!

Yeah, that has me a little bit confused, too. Pretty sure both of those guys saw him do it.

Judge, he told me he was gonna kill him, I saw him kill him, then he said Hey, I killed him.....

But not the Prosecution.

Putting them at the scene makes them an accessory. That's why they're playing this the way they are.

" ... Not only is Hernandez innocent until proven guilty ... "

Innocent until proven guilty? In this country in the Internet age? You must be kidding.

Apparently one person was still in the car, whereas the shooting took place outside of the vehicle.

The circumstantial evidence is overwhelming but the prosecution's star witness is a confessed daily user of marijuana, alcohol and PCP. Also, Lloyd was apparently a pot dealer and I'm sure Hernandez' dream team will tear him apart and propose countless other potential suspects. Hernandez will end up in jail, but I highly doubt he'll get more than 3 years.
