Gronkowski making progress

07:01 AM ET 07.10 | Patriots tight ends haven't provided much good news lately, which makes a recent Rob Gronkowski report pleasant. [Gronkowski] appears to be making strides toward returning from back surgery. But just how soon he'll return to the field remains to be seen. Gronkowski has resumed some light workouts, and Ed Werder of ESPN reported that people who have been working with Gronkowski describe him as being in good spirits, looking good and making significant progress. That does not mean, however, that Gronkowski will progress well enough to play when the Patriots open the season on September 8. It's simply too soon to say whether Gronkowski can play in Week One, and Gronkowski's history has to be a concern.

He better be making progress. Rumor has it an unnamed other tight end may not make it to training camp this year. But that's just a rumor.

Yeah but they got Jake Ballard to hold them over at the position.

Better to be healthy in January than September.

Compared to Aaron Hernandez, Gronk's problems are now minor.

At least he hasn't murdered anybody.

That seems to have the "Ring of Truth" to it.

Gronk and the Pats may be better served over the long run if he were to start the season on the PUP list.

Damn Hot Clicks yesterday, when they showed groundskeepers trying to roll out a tarp.

Today, now, is more like it.

+1

Tom's going to have to pull out some magic during the early part of the season. If they rush Gronk back (again), he might not ever make it back.

If he isn't healthy for the start of the season, then it's bad news. But, if he is, the Patriots have big problems at tight end and wide receiver. I don't think they can just rely on their running game. This might be the end of a dynasty.

The start against the Bills, the Jets and the Bucs. I doubt much magic will be needed to start 3-0. Their first challenge will be the Falcons in week 4.

OK, enough about Gronk, now can we finally talk about TEBOW!!! Sorry, but his name popping up in this thread was inevitable. :)
