07:03 AM ET 07.10 | For now, free-agent forward Andrei Kirilenko remains just that -- a free agent. The San Antonio Spurs' exploration of acquiring [Kirilenko] in a sign-and-trade agreement with the Minnesota Timberwolves has passed without completion, league sources told Yahoo! Sports. The Spurs seriously considered a multiyear offer for Kirilenko, but Minnesota general manager Flip Saunders has shown little, if any, inclination to assist him in securing a significant financial contract elsewhere, sources said. ... There were possible combinations of Spurs assets that appealed to the T'wolves, but ultimately Minnesota was unable -- or unwilling -- to take back the contracts on what could've been an $8 million to $9 million annual salary agreement for Kirilenko, league sources said.

Pick a bandwagon, I mean team first. Then you'll know who your rivals are...

In all seriousness, thank god kahn is not running the ship. My god. Wolves have to stay healthy and if they do (big if) I think jgb may be right in that we can challenge for a 7 or 8 seed. That my friends is something us fans haven't been able to say for a very long time.

Aye <sighs>, that we did. Glad KG got his ring. The Celts now, it seems, have helped themselves into the lottery. Got to rebuild sometime.

I'll say this. Kahn came in and cleaned up the cap mess and bad contracts. He served his purpose.

Agreed. Got to give him that. But what a buffoon.

How can you NOT blame him for the horrendous drafting?

AK47 would fit nicely in the Spurs roster!
