07:25 AM ET 07.10 | Chris Chelios can now add first-ballot Hall of Famer to a career of almost overwhelming success and longevity. He finished with 1,651 games. He produced 948 points, and 2,891 penalty minutes during a career that began in 1983 and ended in 2010. He won three Stanley Cups, and three Norris Trophies. ... Chelios displayed his typical blunt personality Tuesday, when he was asked about his relationship with commissioner Gary Bettman. During the 1994-95 lockout, Chelios infamously suggested that Bettman and his family should worry about their well-being. Chelios was asked about the incident, replying, as only he could: "Let's not mention that name on this call. This is a good day."
