06:58 AM ET 07.11 | In terms of Detroit's recent big-deal extensions, first came Calvin Johnson, followed this week by Matthew Stafford. Is locking up Ndamukong Suh next on the Lions' to-do list? He wouldn't address Suh's situation specifically, but Lions president Tom Lewand said Wednesday that he intends to use some of the cap space created by Stafford's new deal. ... [Suh] has made $51 million from that deal so far, with another $630,000 due this fall, and has a cumbersome cap figure next year of $21.4 million. Suh said in late May he was "two years away from even considering" a contract extension, but his 2014 cap figure could prompt the Lions to try to work out an extension next off-season.
