Fitzgerald, Palmer working on chemistry

11:34 AM ET 07.11 | Larry Fitzgerald had a rough season last year. Statistically his worse career as a pro. It probably didn't help that they trotted out four different starting quarterbacks during the season including one they signed off the street in December, so Fitzgerald had to be thrilled when the Cardinals signed NFL veteran Carson Palmer. Fitzgerald has been working with Palmer at Fitz's annual summer workouts at the University of Minnesota. The two have been improving their chemistry, which has to have Cardinals fans thrilled.

I think "thrilled" might be too strong a word.

NFL players working on chemistry these days usually means something that does not show up in urine screening

If their going to use chemistry, better off trying to clone Montana, or Peyton.

No No... Thrilled might not fully state the case.

Between last years FUBAReno, and listing to Bruce Arians on local radio every day explain how incredible the team is going to be the local fan base here is dizzy with anticipation.

I will buy the room a round if AZ doesn't win all 4 preseason games. Unfortunately, they'll be the only team on the field trying to win the games.

I hope the Cards can improve but history is against them and the NFC West is filled with talent.

Since 1967....

Playoff berths...

San Francisco 49ers 19
St. Louis Rams 13
Seattle Seahawks1 5
Arizona Cardinals1 2

Shouldn't the Bidwells be brought up on charges for Interstate Suckery? They ran a horrible organization in St. Louis and have continued the trend in AZ.

That right there gives me reason, even as a long suffering Viking fan, to pity AZ.

OK chemistry "always add water to acid" "potassium hydroxide is used to normalize ph levels" Hope you boys are making notes

Fitzgerald had his chance to escape the Bidwell fiasco. He chose a few extra dollars instead of the opportunity of ever wearing a ring. Hard to feel sorry for the guy.

Nice one. The valley of the sun is a haven for meth, you might be on to something.

Meth is one of the few drugs that got popular in flyover country then grew to the coasts. Really toxic stuff.

A newer one. I still read about anhydrous ammonia being stolen to make meth. Good fertilizer, bad for your lungs.

The Cardinals may contend for a playoff berth this year...Of course, I doubt it too.

I say the same about a Christian Ponder-led Vikes.

I suppose that if they're not whacking folks and dumping the bodies in their backyards then they are doing great things

Cards fans will remain thrilled until they start seeing what formerly-thrilled Raiders fans got used to seeing - rookie throws, usually to the wrong team, by a supposedly savvy veteran QB. Plus he's gun-shy, and as soon as he starts getting pressured he starts looking for a soft place to fall...

There is no way the Cardinals have been in the playoffs 12 different years since 1967. Twice in the '70s....a strike year in the '80s......once in the '90's and then a couple of years with Warner. I don't think it can be higher than 6 or 7 years.
