07:07 AM ET 07.12 | Only a year ago, it seemed Rockies lefty Drew Pomeranz was on top of the world when he out-pitched Stephen Strasburg. Thursday night at Dodger Stadium, Pomeranz looked like a shell of that pitcher. ... Cleveland selected Pomeranz with the fifth overall pick in the 2010 draft, and the Rockies thought enough of him to trade Ubaldo Jimenez for him in July 2011. But Pomeranz has yet to deliver on his promise. Weiss isn't sure if the issue is mechanical, mental or both. "It's hard to say. You can never get inside guy's head," Weiss said. "I think it will take maybe a little bit of confidence to get him going and have a good outing and get on a roll. The ability is there. It's all in place. We've seen him dominate big-league lineups, so he's certainly capable."

Maybe a trip to Colorado Springs or even better a trip to Double A Tulsa and join Mitchell Boggs and I think you can get your head on right and your confidence back as well in a hurry.
