Julien's difference of opinion on Seguin

07:17 AM ET 07.12 | Few players in Boston over the past few seasons have been more polarizing than the now-departed Tyler Seguin, but his head coach didn't offer any harsh criticism. [Julien] spoke for the first time since after Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals, and the Bruins head coach was asked plenty of questions involving [Seguin]. ... There were clearly issues between player and coach when Phil Kessel was dealt away from the Bruins four years ago, but that wasn't the case this time around with another talented puck wunderkind. "There were no issues between Tyler and I, and I'm not afraid to say it. I worked with him as a hockey player, and I dealt with him as a person," said Julien. "There were no issues that I know about. I thought we had a good relationship."

Translation - Glad the brat is gone and we got an excellent 2-way player that doesn't need coddling to replace him.

Doesn't matter that Seguin could become a Star of note in the near future. As long as Boring Claude was B's Papa, Tyler was bound for the doghouse.

Rumours have Marchand leaving town next. Oh, the B's Nation won't take these moves lightly!

Where did you get this info Joe?... I can't see them getting rid of Marchand anytime soon.....unless someone came up with a deal too good to refuse

My thoughts too. I have not seen/heard anything credible about Marchand leaving. There may come a time when he leaves town, as it happened for Orr, Espo and Bourque. But, like them, the "little Ball of Hate" is a Bruin forever and I don't see going anywhere anytime soon.

Claude sounds like the adult in the room. Tyler needs a fresh start and to do a little growing up. I hope he takes advantage of his opportunity.

Unlike the "leaks" from the front office and the media who were happy to report them.

Would makes sense though. Marchand pulled a Houdini on the Bruins and vanished during the finals. He was a non-factor.

I think that Chef Claud is serving up a Mushroom Julien with a dab of hoisin sauce here.

Parties I don't wanna be invited to.

I concur. Here's an example of party small talk.

Clod, "It's nice out".

Tony, "So leave it out".

8 Years for a guy who is one concussion away from the dark room with Savard? I love the guy and all, but that contract is dangerous.....
