LOL - That'll punish him for not signing with the Wings.

This could be a very bad Omen.

I agree. The hell with him! Let the devils have him!

He faded fast in a 40 game season, so he won't replace a 30 goal scorer.

I hope JR tweets how he feels about this Brunner rumour as I'm sure it will just end up being another hilariously self-serving rant about how selfish Kovalchuk is and how smart JR thinks he is. Always good for a laugh.

Agreed. He has some growing up to do before he's ready for prime time and the big bucks. Can he prove himself over the course of an 82 game season? I'm not sure. I'm not convinced he can. I think Ken Holland has made the right decision.

Hope he's not fast so we catch him. Good night everyone tip the wait staff.

No one is going to replace Kovy right now. But he had a solid first year and a solid first playoffs. Would be a nice top 6 winger for a few years. Detroit plays the right way like the Devils usually do, so the transition should be smooth.

I think Lou should give MacT a call about Alice Hemsky. He's no Ilya Kovalchuk but, he's highly skilled and has the ability to bring fans out of their seats. The only knock on him is he's too fragile but then .... so was Kovalchuk.

Ales has about 130 goals in ten Oiler seasons. Maybe if phone calls were still a dime:)

So, get an injury plauged player whose worst two NHL seasons were his last two...great. Let's get Havlat also

Yeah, but .... you forget he only played 65 games during that time. At that ratio, he's a prolific scorer. :-)

All I'm saying is he's available and, he can be had for cheap. Schneider and a 1st round pick will do. :-)

You forgot to look it up. 600 games 133 goals, 451 total points.

Aw, shucks! You're no fun, ship! I thought I had a good hyperbole going. Nard was ready to buy it. ;-)
