01:21 PM ET 07.13 | The Kansas City Chiefs and offensive tackle Branden Albert have been involved in contract negotiations throughout the entire offseason, but nothing serious has evolved throughout the talks. However, with the deadline to sign franchise players to long-term deals rapidly approaching, the two sides have just over 48 hours to make a deal come to fruition. The two sides continue to talk, but there has yet to even be a contract offer put on the table. That's obviously not a good sign for those hoping to see Albert strike a long-term deal. With so much work to be done before Monday's deadline, it seems unlikely that Albert and the Chiefs can reach an agreement.
