11:55 AM ET 07.14 | Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III is working to recover from his torn ACL that he suffered at the end of last season, and he has been passing nearly every test with flying colors if you are to believe the reports. What has yet to be said, however, is whether or not Griffin will be available for the start of the team's training camp later this month. According to reports, "somebody very involved on the medical side" has said that the team has yet to set a date or location for Griffin to meet with the medical team. Once Griffin has that evaluation, his status for camp will be determined.

Somebody keep an eye on Shanahan. He might keep him in a preseason game while he's limping.

Take it nice and easy with this kid, make sure he's healthy before you let him play!

Shanahan feels no pain.

+1. I hope he's able to come back fully healthy and have a strong chance at a successful season.

It doesn't matter much. Running QBs don't win in the NFL.

From the Mike Shanahan Wikipedia page:

"He was a quarterback at Eastern Illinois University, where he joined Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. During a practice in the 1970s, a hard hit on the practice field ruptured one of his kidneys, which caused his heart to stop for thirty seconds and nearly killed him. A priest was summoned to administer the last rites to Shanahan, a devout Roman Catholic."

I was raise a Roman Catholic as well. Take if from me, you don't want this guy deciding whether or not your fit to play football.

I was so pissed I nearly threw my T.V. out the window when he was still in after that QB-keeper 7 or 8 yard gain off of the left tackle... Limping like his leg was frozen. We weren't winning the Superbowl and a 100% Kirk would have been nearly as good as a 70% RGIII since half his game is the threat of two functioning legs.

That's true.

Even in a playoff game, ifn yer Main player gets hurt, you don't gamble with him getting fubared.

The weasel probably got a bonus.

Snyder and Weasel treat all assets as disposable.

I agree I really hate when talented athletes go down with knee problems could wreck the rest of his career which I hope is not the case cuz he has a shot at being one of the best in the league and he is dam fun to watch not to mention it's kind of cool to see the redskins winning again

Well said. Mike Shanahan tried to talk Steve Young into playing for the Broncos after all those concussions forced him to retire from the 9ers. There are no limits to that guy.

Wonder if Shanny still ask the Ol Lady to blow him if her lips are chapped?

I gave her some Carmex. Worked like a charm.

RGIII to Shanny: "Put me in coach. I'm ready to play. Look at me. I can be MVP!"

RGIII and Jay Cutler got married.Watch them deal with that distraction.

Dolemite - Sometimes I disagree with your comment, but not here. Getting married for a pro athlete in his 20's? WTF were they thinking? True Love? Oh, get serious. Marriage is for men between 40 and 59 and for women between 19 to low 30's. (All other people getting married should have to pay a marriage tax penalty). This hopefully would dissuade the vast majority of young men getting married. Besides, everybody knows that if you're a man in his 20's and a pro athlete, there is a lot of **** left to strafe. Getting married (for men) at that age is just wrong. Also, it will hurt their games as well. For those who don't believe me, kindly look at their stats for the next few years. Marriage for wealthy men: "Here, you now own half of my stuff." The sex? Getting sex was never an issue in the first place. Only a fool of a man marries while in his early 20's.

If RGIII keeps getting injured to the extent he did in 2012, look for the Redskins to be looking for a starting QB in about 3 years. Or less.
