07:12 AM ET 07.16 | Clay Buchholz won't be returning to the rotation in Boston until he's fully healthy -- when, exactly, that is remains to be seen. Buchholz threw a bullpen session Sunday in Oakland and still felt soreness in his neck and shoulder area. The Red Sox were hopeful that Buchholz would be able to throw off a mound before the All-Star Game, but instead, he won't throw another bullpen session until Thursday after the All-Star break. "I'm not going to go out and do something that's going to cost me the rest of the season," said Buchholz, who hasn't pitched since June 8. ... Buchholz initially was not expected to miss an extended period of time, but he hasn't been able to get comfortable enough to return.

Sleeping the wrong way holding his daughter. Maybe Baron Davis can take him to an Alien message therapist.

The Red Sox priority at this point has to be getting him healthy by the playoffs. If the Sox want to win the World Series they should pull off a megadeal with the Phillies for Cliff Lee and Papelbon. Having crawled to .500 the Phillies might have playoff aspirations of their own though.
