Warren Sapp gives Jairus Byrd financial advice

11:26 AM ET 07.16 | Buffalo Bills safety Jairus Byrd failed to agree to a long-term contract with the team before yesterday's deadline for players under the franchise tag. Byrd is looking for top safety dollar that is comparable to the likes of Eric Weddle and Dashon Goldson, but the Bills weren't ready to shell out that cash just yet. The next step for Byrd will be deciding whether or not to sign his one-year franchise tender and report for camp. If the way things have been handled so far are any indication, it doesn't look like there will be a resolution anytime soon and we appear headed toward a lengthy holdout. Luckily for Byrd, someone felt like giving up some free words of advice. Warren Sapp, who always has an opinion to share, gave Byrd his advice on the situation during a recent segment on the NFL Network. Let's all remember that this is the same Warren Sapp that was broke just a few years out of the league.

HaHaHa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Just classic. This is the same fella that last year asked the Tampa Bay Bucs if he could live in their pirate ship for a few months.

Sapp is probably telling him where to hide his bling bling.

Oh, boy. I love the long list of athletes and celebrities that want to dole out their advice from the "Do I what I say, not what I did" philosophy of living.

I like Warren, but the guy needs to can it. . . along with a whole list of other idgits.
