09:41 AM ET 07.19 | The St. Louis Rams are one of the most intriguing young teams in the NFL, but today they announced that they would be bringing back a familiar face. According to reports, the Rams have agreed to a deal with veteran linebacker Will Witherspoon. He played with the Rams from 2006 to 2009. Witherspoon joins James Laurinaitis, Jo-Lonn Dunbar and first-round pick Alec Ogletree in a very solid linebacker rotation for the Rams.

I have cautious optimism for St Louis this year, what with Bradford having his new boytoy and all...

Say what you want about the Rams - their defense was legit last year. They can already stop the pass (which is huge in today's league), and now they're beefin' up in the front 7. If the OL can protect Bradford, and they can get something out of their running game, they're gonna surprise a lot of people.
