QB passes on Saban for Spurrier

North Gwinnett (Ga.) junior Mike Tamburo plans to visit Central Florida on Friday. Tamburo was scheduled to journey to Tuscaloosa, Ala. last weekend to attend Alabama's junior day. But the 6-foot-1, 180-pound quarterback had a change of heart at the last moment and visited Columbia, S.C. instead. Tamburo, who believes he is close to receiving his first scholarship offer, was impressed with the Gamecocks.

It's Not!

He should be impressed, the Gamecocks are awesome!

Hmm, because Spurrier puts all those QB's in the NFL.

He's probably leaning towards Spurrier because the Gamecocks have no true QB at the position. Other then Stephen Garcia, that cupboard is pretty bare.

Geez, he's a junior. He will change his mind 100 times between now and signing day 2009. He has not received an offer from anyone yet. It really has to be a slow news day.

North Gwinnett is big time.

The TRUTH has learned from sources close to the kid that he liked SC over the Great State of Alabama cuz Ball Coach let him acknowledge it was balmy and 72 degrees...whereas Coach Satan placed a moratorium on any mention of weather...or colors...or feelin's.....or a soul!!!!

The kid still has a whole year to decide. If he really wants to play football at Alabama we are already waist deep in QB's. Alabama currenyly has 7 QB's on roster. Some of these guys are blue chipper's.I think he would fair better elsewhere.South Carolina maybe a good fit for him.Good Luck where ever he decides.

We'll see if you still feel that way in 2010
