07:13 AM ET 07.23 | When it comes to Ryan Braun, why now? "@TJQuinnESPN: I don't know. ... Never gotten mail/messages from fans like I have from people in Milwaukee about Braun. They're going to be crushed. People believed in him. ... A-Rod will be a different story. MLB's case against him includes possibility he interfered with investigation. They'll go after him harder. ... UPDATE: Sources say after initial meeting w MLB, two sides had another meeting in which Braun sought deal. Wanted suspension over this year. ... Source also tells OTL evidence provided about A-Rod is "far beyond" what Bosch gave them re Braun. ... Worth noting evidence against Braun showed ongoing pattern of significant PED use, several sources tell OTL. This was not a one-off."

I don't understand why they don't just suspend all these guys at the same time. I mean what are they waiting for? Is mlb doing this for suspense or for a show? Are there 20 different investigations going on?

Agreed...............They should all be suspended at one time ................The start of next season....

Suspension ????

162 games.............Full season.............and playoffs...........

Braun got off easy IMO. 65 meaningless games, and he gets to start off fresh in 2014. They should have banned him from the first 50 games next year as well.

Better yet, if baseball is serious, make the team accountable. Make them lose a draft pick!

But in fairness.....why should the team be accountable for what an individual does? They don't do that in any other sportAnd actually....the team was HORRIFICALLY punished as they brewers likely would've chosen to keep fielder instead of Braun, had this happened before the extensionNow they are stuck with him and this drama for years

Teams go in a blind eye as long as the players are helping them generate revenue.

Here's what I think. I think Braun knew he was screwed and went to MLB and cut a deal. MLB was glad to give him a deal because they wanted him suspended, and it gives the case against the other guys more credibility. Braun didn't just hose the Brewers and his buddy Aaron Rodgers, he hosed everyone else on that list.

You are correct sir. Had they know, Fielder gets the money, not Braun.

One article I read this morning quoted an MLB A-Rod investigator as saying multiple individual violations could each be handled separately resultiing in multiple convictions and a lifetime ban. Think the Yankees are lobbying?

The Yankees are praying for a lifetime ban.
