07:02 AM ET 07.24 | On a day when Bill Belichick is expected to make his first public comments since Aaron Hernandez's arrest, the former Patriots tight end may have more legal trouble coming his way. Prosecutors have begun making the case to a Suffolk County grand jury that [Hernandez] should be charged in the shooting death of two men on a South End street last July, according to two law enforcement officials briefed on the investigation. "The case against Hernandez appears to be strengthening," one of the officials said. ... The proceedings are conducted behind closed doors, so details of the case against Hernandez are unknown. But the fact that the case has gone to a grand jury indicates that the investigation of the killing of two Cape Verdean immigrants is now more narrowly focused on Hernandez.

Just on the evidence already made public, going to a grand jury is no surprise.

Just book him.

I haven't commented on this situation here yet on this Site because I am new, took my talents here from ESPN because ESPN ruined their Chat Threads with Facebook. This situation is one that would make anyone's stomach turn! Anyway to me the Aaron Hernandez story is one of the worst I've ever seen in my sports days. He is 23 years old and has more money that one can ever spend, played for the Pats/NFL, but he just ruined his life acting or being crazy (assuming he is guilty of what he is being accused of). He's done. Not sure I've seen any other pro athlete ruin his life like this over just being dumb when on top of the world? Jayson Williams maybe, ex Nets player. Someone like Mike Tyson even (who got found guilty of rape which IMO I still don't think he did it) at least dominated his sport and is now doing great in life and seems to be at peace and a great family guy and decent person.

Hernandez is just a selfish idiot! Forget the money, he should thought about his daughter before getting involved.

Has Hernandez yet hired a lawyer to go after the money that was still due to him under contract?

July 24, 2013  08:11 AM ET

Ah yes, the wheels of justice grind slow, but they grind exceedingly fine.

I was having a few beers with the guys last night. One of them is a prison guard in the Massachusetts system. According to him, Hernandez is not exactly being a model prisoner. The stress is getting to him, I guess. He may be transferred out of the county jail and into a more secure facility.

When you hear that #174594 has been transferred the the prison complex in Shirley, MA, remember you heard it here first.

And don't call me Shirley.

I haven't heard anything else on that either.... It should be easy compared to this little triple murder thingy.

I would think he'll need that kind of money to pay his lawyers re: the murders.

I think the dude just believes he is one serious bad ass and is bulletproof. There is a whole lot of that out there in the world but he fancies himself as the King of them all.

After reading DD's post, I'm thinking it even more so. A shower party is waiting for this fool.

From what I read Aaron owes the Patriots money. NFL contracts are not guaranteed.

Is there a For Sale sign on his house yet?

So what is your city? What are your favorite team's colors? What is the ground speed of an unladen swallow?

Woke up in Shirley once. I prefer Beverly.

No, but he's even going to eff that up. We've been informed that he is not properly maintaining his lawn!

Real estate prices are going through the roof again in the Boston Burbs, and he's not even paying attention to his lawn. It's browning out, although the rain the past week has probably helped some. A successful builder I know says you have to sell the house before people take a step inside the front door, so he pays a lot of attention to things like the yard and the front porch.

Does Hernandez think the security cameras are going to sell the house? Think again.
