01:22 PM ET 07.25 | Many have thought the Philadelphia Phillies could part with long time second baseman Chase Utley come this month's trade deadline, but that couldn't be further from the truth if you believe the reports. According to the latest buzz, both the Phillies and Utley are nearing a contract extension. While the Phillies themselves have struggled this season, Utley has not. The oft-injured infielder has hit a cool .286 with 13 home runs and 36 RBI in just 269 plate appearances. He also has seven stolen bases and a .346 on base percentage.

Do you think that's really an option for Utley? Does he have any marketable computer skills to speak of?

Ruben wants to get fired! Time for him to go. Don't get me wrong I hate to see Utley go but get something for him while you can instead of waiting for his knees to completely break down!

Why? If the Yankees can get Jeter a Hoveround and trot his arse out there, why can't the Phillies get him an XHD Bariatric or something?
