Big deal ahead for Dodgers?

07:08 AM ET 07.26 | Only a few months ago, Dodgers fans were wondering whether their manager would be fired -- but times have changed. [GM] Ned Colletti said Thursday as the July 31 non-waiver trading deadline approaches that he isn't optimistic his team will make a late-season splash similar to the acquisitions of Hanley Ramirez, Adrian Gonzalez, Carl Crawford and Josh Beckett last year. "I don't see it happening, there's not that type of group of players out there," Colletti said. ... Pitchers Jake Peavy of the last-place Chicago White Sox and Ervin Santana are on the market, but Peavy is owed $24 million, and the traditional seller Kansas City Royals might be reluctant to part with an ace with an elusive .500 season in reach. "We'll be looking aggressively, but you need the other half," Colletti said.

They don't need to make a trade. Team is getting healthy and 4 Starting pitchers are all you need in the Playoffs.

Picked up 10 games in their division and took over first place by out playing everyone in every division over that span... they have some bite...

They do worry me more for the playoffs than any other team in the NL. They have the talent if they can pull it all together at the right time.

Offensive noise as well... when they have everyone healthy... that line up is as nasty to pitch to as any in baseball. You don't really get a reprieve...

If they could keep Kemp on the field, it is difficult to see them losing many games.

Not so sure about that.. but it was bound to come down...
