09:58 AM ET 07.27 | A few weeks ago two highly regarded Prime Prep products were declared ineligible by the NCAA. According to a report late Friday night, one of those two has received some very good news. As reported by Stefan Stevenson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, incoming freshman center Karviar Shepherd has been cleared to play this season for the Horned Frogs. According to Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com, LSU's Jordan Mickey has been cleared as well.

Shephard and Mickey transfered to Deion Sanders' Prime Prep Academy from another prep school along with some others. The problem is transferring from one school to another for athletic purposes isn't permitted by the Texas UIL, and the UIL began questioning the eligibility of the players. When Deion realized he couldn't build a dream team overnight Prime Prep withdrew from the UIL.

I'm glad these kids get the chance to play in college in spite of Deion's bumblings. I'm also glad Dez Bryant made it to the NFL but he lost a year of college eligibility thanks to interaction with Deion Sanders.

Hey, Deion, leave those kids alone!
