11:00 AM ET 07.28 | A league source confirmed that J.R. Smith has already been paid $8.974 million of the $17 million contract he signed three weeks ago. Smith agreed to a two-year deal worth $11 million with a player option for a third season. Five days after agreeing to a new contract, Smith had knee surgery that, according to the club, will sideline him up to four months.

Shump is the starting SG. The Knicks have a 1-2 year window to contend before they go into rebuild mode.

lol.I really have given up on them. I am not going to root against them-but the days of me really caring is over- I am too old to invest my time on a product and players I simply don't like/ It kills me that they play jungle ball, it kills me that every time jr touches the ball I was cringing....that's not normalno...I said if they re-upped jr I was done- and I am-

The big difference is that they're winning. Why give up on them when they are winning? You should have gave up on them when Dumbtonie was coaching.

Nothing bizarre about it.............In 1957......at the age of seven............My love for the Yankees was born when I saw Mickey Mantle play on tv.............The same year the same thing happened when I saw Bill Russell and the Celtics............And that same year I became a Colts fan because of Johnny Unitas........So my teams of 55 years was based on players.......Not cities..............

Sounds like Mick.
