11:27 AM ET 07.28 | The 65-acre Shiloh Park in Marion, Ind., has a challenge course with climbing walls and a zip line. And in a few days, it will be the training site for one of the participants in last season's Bowl Championship Series title game. Notre Dame will go on the road and open its 2013 training camp Aug. 5 at Shiloh Park and Convention Center. "We wanted to take our players off campus. They obviously have the entire summer here. We have great facilities, so it's difficult to take them away from the great facilities we have here at Notre Dame, but it's an opportunity for us to start 2013 anew," Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly said in a video posted on the school's website on Thursday. Notre Dame will hold four practices at Shiloh Park. The team will transition back to South Bend for practices at LaBar Football Practice Fields on Aug. 9.

What upgrades or changes are going to take place at the stadium? Did coach Kelly get his wish to modernize ND stadium? Change the grass to artificial for example.

Oh crap you don't want ND to change their turf to "artificial, it will give teams like Stanford and USC that much more advantage, as they are very fast and will run right over the Irish!!!! :-)

It is kind of funny how the lawnmower tends to breakdown the week before SoCal comes to town.

What are the odds?

Speaking of grass, the yards starting to look like North Vietnam. I'll have to deal with you later, my toothless pointy headed old Trojan fart.

Hey, OT! Are we going to do that avatar bet for the USC vs. ND game this year?

I hope they put up a big fence around this facility to keep the local rif raf out. If you've ever been to Marion, IN; you'd know the place is a pit.

The Trojan's home turf is USC Stadium in South Bend.

Touchdown Pete is going to be going full hippie this year. And you never go full hippie.
